Our Story

If you've lost structure in your routine or stopped seeing results, Healthy Switch was built for you. Founded in 2006 by Peter Osment, a full-time fitness industry professional since 2004, Healthy Switch began with a simple mission: make world-class outdoor fitness training accessible to everyday Australians.

Headlined by our bootcamps at Melbourne's iconic Tan Track and Sandringham, our group training model has grown entirely on word of mouth — because the results speak for themselves.

What started as small group sessions in Melbourne's parks has evolved into a comprehensive fitness business spanning bootcamps, personal training, corporate fitness, school programs, strength & conditioning for sporting clubs, and health & fitness retreats across Queensland.

Through it all, one thing hasn't changed: every session is led by a trainer who runs alongside you, provides motivation every step of the way, and genuinely cares about your progress.

Fresh air, no space restrictions, and the proven benefits of training outdoors. Outdoor sessions burn more calories than enclosed gym sessions — science backs us up.

What Sets Healthy Switch Apart

In a city full of bootcamps and personal trainers, Healthy Switch stands out through consistency, quality, and genuine care. Our trainers are full-time fitness professionals — not part-timers fitting sessions around other jobs.

  • Never cancelled a session — we train year-round, rain or shine, under shelter where necessary
  • Groups strictly capped — 6 to 12 participants maximum for personalised instruction
  • Gym-equivalent equipment — dumbbells, kettlebells, battle ropes, dead balls, bosus, speed ladders & more
  • Balanced programming — push and pull resistance exercises across all planes of movement
